Projectant ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Service includes:

  • Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Service (via Google Sign-In or email/password).
  • Project Data: All content you create within your projects, including but not limited to notes, tasks, tables, events, and attachments. This data is considered confidential and is protected by the security measures outlined below.
  • Payment Data: We do not collect or store any payment card details. All payment transactions are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We only store a record of your subscription status (e.g., "active" or "canceled") provided by Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we use information collected about you via the Service to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Provide the core functionality of the project management service.
  • Manage your subscription and billing status.
  • Respond to customer service requests.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or project data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

We use Google Firebase services to host and secure your data:

  • Data Storage: All of your project and profile data is stored in a Firestore database, hosted on Google's secure cloud infrastructure. Data is encrypted at rest by default.
  • Access Control: We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure that your data is logically isolated. These server-side rules strictly enforce that a user can only access data for projects they own or are a member of.
  • Authentication: User sign-in is managed by Firebase Authentication. All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.

4. Your Rights Over Your Data

You have control over your data within the Service:

  • Access and Correction: You can review and change your account information at any time via the Account Settings page.
  • Data Export: You can export a full backup of any project you own from the Project Settings page.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time from the Account Settings page. When you delete your account, your authentication record, your user profile, and all projects that you personally own will be permanently deleted from our system.
